I would like to request a copy of BIR 2316 for the year 2021.
My employment with my previous employer has already been terminated. But I did not get a copy of my 2021 2316

Dear Ms. Torreta:

I refer to my letter of Mar 27, 2023 05:19:15 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Copy of BIR 2316 for the year 2021.

In order to identify or locate the requested information, we are seeking for further clarification specifically:

If Employed, kindly provide the Complete Name of your Employer/s, Employer’s TIN and Employer’s Registered Address for the period 2021?

3. Withstanding your answer to the first and second query, did you file an ITR for the cited period?

If you are an Employee for the period 2021, your EMPLOYER is required to issue a copy of your BIR Form 2316 for Calendar Year 2021 pursuant to Section 2.83.1 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The EMPLOYER shall furnish each employee with the original copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that your taxes were withheld. This will serve as your Income Tax Return (ITR).

Kindly email the requested information at sherry.ann.arcita@bir.gov.ph and indicate in the email subject tracking number #BIR-723863016956, to respond.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jun 20, 2023 05:45:26 AM, your request will be closed.
