Hi! I would like to request my BIR 2316 for 2020. I need it for my employment.

Dear Mr. BAGAY,

I refer to my letter of Oct 26, 2021, 08:42:02 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316.

Response to your request
Please be informed that your employer is asking you for the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment. Your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. 
Thus, we would like to advise that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 19, 2022, 02:07:09 AM, your request will be closed.

Hello! Thank you very much for your reply! 
I was trying to request for my 2316 because my previous employer's accountant is under quarantine therefore cannot give me a copy of my 2316. I'm asking if I can have a copy of my 2316 from BIR?
