Dear Mr. MEDEL,
I refer to my letter of Nov 03, 2021 01:56:08 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316.
In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Kindly provide us your employer's TIN, business name & address and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph
However, if you have been employed and your income tax has been correctly withheld, has only one employer and has been qualified for substituted filing for the taxable year 2019, the Certificate of Withholding filed by your employer, duly stamped "Received" by the Bureau, shall be tantamount to the filing of the income tax return. You may request the Form 2316 directly from your employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 26, 2022 09:34:45 PM, your request will be closed.
