BASILIO 10:36 AM, Mar 28, 2022

Hi I would like to request a copy of the following:

- ITR FOR YEAR 2020

As you can see, I will be filing my ITR for the whole year of 2021 and will be paying my taxes for the whole year too. I have an excess credit last 2020 and would like to use it to pay for my taxes. One of the requirements that is needed is my ITR from the previous year. I hope you can help and assist me. Thank you so much and God bless!

Dear Ms. BASILIO,

I refer to my letter of Mar 28, 2022 10:36:30 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for ITR COPY FOR 2020.

In order for us to properly endorse and work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Kindly provide us with the following details and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as these contain sensitive information
-What ITR form did you file for 2020?
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online)

Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file. Furthermore, ITR for 2021 is yet to be filed on or before April 15 this year.

However, we would also like to suggest that if you know where you filed your ITR, you may directly request it to the concerned RDO, bring the duplicate/xerox copy with you for they may also need to validate and determine if you are the rightful owner of the documents requested as these are sensitive information and are bound by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and Sec 270 of the NIRC

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jun 20, 2022 07:02:16 AM, your request will be closed.

We hope to hear from you at the soonest possible time.

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Ana Marie Du
FOI Officer
