Hi! I would like to request copies of my 2012, 2013 and 2016 BIR Form 2316 - Substituted Filing. For visa application purposes. Below are the period requested:

1. BIR Form 2316 filed in 2012 under Petron Corporation RDO 041

2. BIR Form 2316 filed in 2013 under Petron Corporation RDO 041

3. BIR Form 2316 filed in 2016 under BJ Well Services Company (Philippines), Inc. RDO 052

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 06, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for BIR Form No. 2316.

Response to your request

Please be informed that your request for a copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Years 2012 to 2016 cannot be granted by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 because all taxpayers (including your previous employers) are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.
