In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. You have indicated in your request that you require a copy of your ITR for Taxable Period 02-01-2021 to 02-28-2022. For verification and clarification, kindly provide additional information on the following:
1. Did you have a registered business between the period 02-01-2021 to 02-28-2022? Or were you an individual earning on purely compensation income from the period of 02-01-2021 to 02-28-2022?
2. If employed, kindly provide the name of your employer/s and registered address of your Employer for the period 02-01-2021 to 02-28-2022?
3. Withstanding your answer to the first and second query, did you file an ITR for the cited period?
Lastly, if you are an Employee for the period of 02-01-2021 to 02-28-2022, your Employer are required to issue a copy of your BIR Form 2316 for taxable Year 2021 pursuant to Section 2.83 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The employer shall furnish each employee with the original and duplicate copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that your taxes were withheld. Dear vanessa jane johler:
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Jun 28, 2022 11:08:25 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You request for your Income Tax Return (ITR) or Certificate of compensation.
We have called your contact information today (July 1, 2022 at 1:19 P.M) and clarify some details/information on your request, whether the ITR document you are requesting is the ITR for Business or for Self-Employed Individuals or BIR Form 2316 for Compensation Income Earners.
Based on our phone conversation, please be guided that the ITR's that our Revenue District Office (RDO) have in there files are those tax returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter by taxpayers through various Accredited Agent Banks; However, for No-Payment Returns that were filed by the taxpayers through BIR eBIRForms System or even with Payment who opted to use the System, the RDO do not have the copies of such returns on file (usually it is already converted to .xls format). Hence, your eFiled ITR for taxable year 2021 cannot be viewed by the district.
If you were not able to print one, you may retrieve your e-filed return by selecting the form in the eBIRForms System profile and then click the “PRINT” button below the form and your Email Confirmation Receipt that was provided in your registered account in the eBIRForms.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Sherry Ann Cuyos
