Hi FOI and BIR

I would like to request a copy of my  ITR. This is for a car purchase and the requirement is a copy of my Latest ITR (2316).

I was an OFW and just recently resigned from work this last december, I don't know If my ITR is updated nor how to update it. If you could assist me it would greatly be appreciated!

Dear Filippe Adrien Pajarillo:

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 12, 2022 08:29:19 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You Request for Income Tax Return (ITR).

We have called your contact information today (June 13, 2022 at 12:50 P.M) and asked you clarificatory question/s on your request for ITR, the following were discussed/enumerated:

1. OFW for the period 2021;
2. No income derived within the Philippines/country for the period as an OFW;
3. Assumed Local Employment for for 2022 onwards;
4. Issuance of BIR Form 2316 for 2022 is supposedly next year January 31 and submission to concerned Revenue District Office (RDO) where your employer is registered on February 28.

In reply, please be informed of the following:

1. Certification of Low Income/No Income signed by the
Barangay Chairman of the place where the applicant
resides; (1 original) -  Barangay
2. Duly Notarized Affidavit of Low Income/No Income;
(1 original) -  Taxpayer/Notary Public
3. Proof of Payment of P100.00 Certification Fee and
P30.00 loose Documentary Stamp Tax. (1 photocopy) - Collection Section of the Revenue District Office (RDO) having jurisdiction over the place of residence of the taxpayer.

Additional Documents, if applicable to the following cases: If transacting through a Representative:
Special Power of Attorney (SPA) executed by the
taxpayer-applicant; (1 original); and
Any government-issued ID of the taxpayer and
authorized representative; (1 photocopy).

Note: IDs shall be presented and should be readable,
untampered and contains consistent information
with the documents presented upon application.

Lastly, you can state/include in your affidavit that you are an OFW for the period 2021. That you have no income earnings within the Philippines/country during the period 2021. That your income is derived abroad as an OFW and based on your contract.
