Penalty and Process Guide for Incorrect TIN Classification

Requested from BIR by K. Robles at 07:37 PM on Jun 15, 2021.
Purpose: Clarification and Reference for personal case
Date of Coverage: 06/15/2016 - 06/15/2021
Tracking no: #BIR-805170095897

Robles 07:37 PM, Jun 15, 2021

I registered my TIN under 1901 since I thought of doing freelance work during college. However, I did not pursue my freelance work and didn't pay the P500 fee thinking that my registration was not processed.

However, after being employed, our HR told me that I have to fix my TIN since it was in a different RDO and it was registered under Form 1901.

Is there a cost guide that we can use to estimate how much to pay to correct this? I have no books to close since I did not start with my freelance work. The RDO is asking me 10k+ but there's no clear computation so I want to counter check
