HI,
I  received my certificate of compensation/payment tax withheld for the year 2020 around end of 2021 from my former employer due to the pandemic (I wasn't able to come back to the office). 

I would like to request for a confirmation from BIR RDO 038 if my record from my former employer back in 2020  is found on the books/ can  be found in their system.  

The purpose of my request is to verify if my form is filled by my previous employer and if it isn't I intend to file it myself, hope they can let me know  about this.

Dear Ms. Sanchez,

I refer to my letter of Mar 17, 2022 02:24:50 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Certificate of Compensation/ Payment Tax Withheld.

In order for us to properly endorse and work further on your request, kindly provide us the TIN, RDO and complete name and address of your employer and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph.

On the other hand, it is also advised that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents.  It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jun 09, 2022 05:05:28 AM, your request will be closed.
