BIR Form 2316

Requested from BIR by T. Zaballero at 10:26 AM on Feb 08, 2022.
Purpose: Clarification on acceptance of National ID/PhilID as a valid ID for BIR Transactions
Date of Coverage: 01/01/2021 - 12/31/2021
Tracking no: #BIR-835827106651

Zaballero 10:26 AM, Feb 08, 2022

To whom it may concern:

I would like to clarify if the National ID is accepted as a valid ID for BIR Form 2316.

As I understand, the acceptable valid IDs for BIR Form 2316 are governed by RMC 9-2014 which only lists down 1) passport; and 2) driver's license.

However, I would like to confirm if this is superseded by the enactment of RA11055 (PhilSys Act) or RMC 79-2021 which circularized the PSA advisory re: acceptance of PhilID for government transactions?

Would greatly appreciate your feedback.
