Hi! I would like to request for a copy of my BIR Form 2316\ITR for the years 2012-2021. They are required for my application for Migration Skill Assessment.

Dear Jerome Marquez:

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 18, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You request for your BIR Form 2316.

In reply, we hereby advised you to directly request for a copy of your ITR (BIR Form 2316) from your employer as they are primary/original source of such document. 

Pursuant to Section 2.83 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The employer shall furnish each employee with the original and duplicate copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that your taxes were withheld. This shall serve as your Income Tax Return (ITR).

I have requested from my company but was advised that they no longer have copies of my BIR and were only able to provide me a copy of my ITR for 2021.

Hoping you'd be able to help me or direct me to the appropriate office that can assist me. Thank you.
