May I request for a copy of my BIR 2136 or Income tax return for the years 2020 to 2021 because it is required for bank loan.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 15, 2021, under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for a copy of BIR 2316.

Response to your request
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested as your 2316 for 2021 is yet to be filed next year. Moreover, we are also missing from you some vital information as you did not attach two valid IDs with your birthdate and picture as proof of your identity.  hence, your request is denied.

However, you may request your 2316 from your employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
