May 1, 2022 Dear Ms. Laiza Acla: Greetings! Thank you for your request dated May 01, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You request/asked for Income Tax Return (ITR). In reply, please be informed of the following: 1. The purpose of the request for information shall be specific or adequately and sufficiently described. General averments of the purpose such as "for information, " "for research," "for legal purpose," or other similarly worded purposes shall not be considered to have meet the requirements of specificity; 2. If you are Employed, you may directly request your BIR Form 2316 for Calendar Year 2021 from your employer as they are the main source of this document and must release to you as a matter of right. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made. However, if you are Self-Employed Individual your ITR could be BIR Form 1701 OR BIR Form 1701A which was supposedly filed last April 18, 2022 and you should have a copy of the said form/s. Thank you. Respectfully, Sherry Ann Cuyos FOI Officer
