Hi! I would like to request a copy of my BIR form 2316 for the year 2020 up until the latest information that is available. Or if the available one is for 2020 only then it is fine with me. I badly need it for employment purpose. Thankyou.

Dear Mr. Boneo,

I refer to my letter of Nov 11, 2021 01:49:33 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316.

Kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is the BIR form 2316 for 2020 as maybe what they were asking is the BIR Form 2316 for the current year? 

Please be informed that your new employer will ask you for the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment as they will  take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. Thus, we would like to advise that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Feb 03, 2022 06:56:20 AM, your request will be closed.

Thank you for the information ma'am. I really appreciate your concern but I can still use the form 2316 for the past year as a reference as I do not have any option at the moment. Therefore I will still proceed with my request. Thank you and please continue processing my form 2316 for the year 2020. God Bless You and continue helping people.
