Hi, 

I would like to request copies of my Income Tax Returns for the years 2012 - 2017. 

The documents will be used for my VISA Application. 

I've already reached out to my former employers regarding this, but they are no longer responsive to my requests.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 09, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Request for my BIR 2316 for the years 2012 - 2017.

Response to your request

Please be informed that your request for a copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Period April 1, 2012 to July 1, 2017 cannot be granted by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/copies of your BIR Form 2316 because all taxpayers are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.
