Good day,

I would like to get a copy of my ITR from 2020 up to the present filed ITR. This is for the reason that the Bureau of Immigration requires me to submit an ITR for my tourist visa.

Hoping for your kind assistance. Thank you so much.

Dear [Redacted][First name] Senamin,

I refer to my letter of Mar 06, 2022 11:37:41 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Copy of Income Tax Return.

In order for us to properly endorse and work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Kindly provide us with the following details  and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as these contain sensitive information
-What ITR form did you file? 
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online) 

Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file. Furthermore, ITR for 2021 & 2022 are yet to be filed on or before April 15 this year and next year, respectively.

However, we would also like to suggest that if you know where you filed your ITR, you may directly request it to the concerned RDO, bring the duplicate/xerox copy with you for they may also need to validate and determine if you are the rightful owner of the documents requested as these are sensitive information and are bound by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and Sec 270 of the NIRC

However, it is advised that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before May 30, 2022 06:34:07 AM, your request will be closed.
