I, Shanne Melody A. Cilot, currently a grade 12 student, am requesting my father's 2020 Income Tax Return in compliance with the requirements asked by the scholarship agency I am looking forward to applying to. Your response would mean so much and would greatly help me with my dreams. With that, I thank you in advance.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Dec 28, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request
You asked for Income Tax Return.

Response to your request
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, however, in this instance your request has been denied because our office is restricted by rules under Sec. 270 of the NIRC of 1997, as amended and Data Privacy Act of 2012.

However, you may just ask your father to request his ITR from the concerned district office where he filed his ITR for 2020 as the office need also to validate if the requestor is the true owner of the document requested.  

On the other hand, the documentary requirements needed for the Processing of Application for Certificate of Exemption for Scholarship and Job/Livelihood Programs can be viewed here:
