Hello,

This is to request copy of my BIR Form 2316 from a previous employer.

As this one the previous company can no longer provide, I would like to ask if I can get a copy of it from here.

Employer: Forecasting and Planning Technologies Inc.
Employment date: July 8, 2013 to April 29 2016

Hoping for a positive feedback.

Dear Ms. Ampler:

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 19, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Copy of BIR Form 2316 from previous employer.

Response to your request

In reply, please be informed that your request for a copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Year/s 2013 to 2016 cannot be granted/provided by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/copies of your BIR Form 2316 because all taxpayers are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.

Thank you.
