BIR Form 2316

Requested from BIR by E. Plata at 10:22 AM on Apr 26, 2023.
Purpose: Local experience verification for visa application
Date of Coverage: 12/01/2014 - 09/14/2015
Tracking no: #BIR-899843288671

Plata 10:22 AM, Apr 26, 2023

Good Day,

I would like to request a copy of my BIR Form 2316 of which I'm employed under Presam Construction and General Services Inc. from Dec 2014 to September 2015. My employer address is located in Brgy. San Isidro, Libjo, Batangas City.
The company may have change name to CPM Construction and General Services, Inc.

I have contacted my previous employer however, they said that they don't keep documents of former employees that left the company for more than 5 years.

I'm requesting the document for the purpose of local experience verification to be used for visa application.

Thank you.

Sir:

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Apr 26, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for BIR Form 2316.

Response to your request

Please be informed that your request for a copy of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Year 2014 to 2015 under Presam Construction and General Services, Inc. cannot be granted by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, all taxpayers (including your former employer) are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.
