Dear Patrick Mariano:

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jul 28, 2022 03:04:21 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You request for your Income Tax Return (ITR) and/or BIR Form 2316.

During our telephone conversation on July 28, 2022 at 4:10 P.M we have asked you if you have a registered business or an employee during the period January-December 2021 and you mentioned that you are an employee.

We also explained to you that as an employee with one employer and earning purely compensation regardless of the amount, you are qualified under the Substituted Filing of Income Tax Return. Under Revenue Regulations (RR) 2-98 as amended, the BIR form 2316 filed by your employer serves as your Income Tax Return. And the same was also provided to you by your employer.
