Dear Dennis Acdan:

I refer to my letter of Jul 18, 2022 10:20:14 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for TIN Verification and BIR Form 2316.

In reply, we have apprised you through our phone conversation that we cannot provide you your request for TIN Verification because TIN is CONFIDENTIAL Information that is bounded by the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

We would like to advise you to visit the nearest Revenue District Office (RDO) on your request. Please bring two (2) valid government-issued I.Ds containing the photograph and signature as proof of your identity. If the request is made through representative, a written authorization and/or special power of attorney of the requesting party (principal) and at least two (2) valid government IDs containing the photograph and signature of the representative shall be presented.

As to your other request, please provide us the Name of your Employer/s from 2014-2022, Employer's Business Address and Employer's TIN for us to properly endorse your concern to the Revenue District Office (RDO) where your Employer's is/are registered and Where they submits there reports. Kindly email it at sherry.ann.arcita@bir.gov.ph and indicate in the tracking number #BIR-965055992736, to respond.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Oct 10, 2022 05:43:23 AM, your request will be closed.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jul 18, 2022 10:20:14 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request for TIN Verification and BIR Form 2316.

In reply, we already called your contact information last Monday (July 18, 2022) and apprised you of what to do on your current registration with the BIR Database and the Revenue District Office to go in order for you to update your taxpayer type from Single Proprietor to Local Employee.
