Hi,

I need to get a copy of ITR for year 2019 for skills assessment purposes in Australia.

My employer only has a copy from Jan - July only but I need for the entire year. My employer cannot retrieve the file anymore as it seems corrupted.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 19, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for ITR 2019.

Response to your request

Please be informed that your request for a copy of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Year 2019 cannot be provided by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/copies of your BIR Form 2316 because all taxpayers are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.

Can I request for my ITR from Aug 2019 - December 2019 instead? Thats still within 4 years.

My employer can only retrieve from Jan 2019 - July 2019.
