Dear Sir/Madam,
Hope you are doing well.
I am writing in through this website to request and hopefully receive a copy of my BIR 2316 form. This is for the purpose of submitting one of the employment requirement for my new employer. Regrettably, my previous employer is not able to provide me with my BIR 2316 form as they have released it last 2019 and I have since misplaced the document.
It would be very much appreciated if you can send me a copy via email as my employment is on the line — I have to submit this on November 5th.

Dear Mr. Raganas,
I refer to my letter of Oct 31, 2021, 09:00:06 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316.
Kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is the BIR form 2316 for 2018-2019 as maybe what they were asking is the BIR Form 2316 for the current year?
Please be informed that your new employer will ask you for the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment as they will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. Thus, we would like to advise that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 24, 2022 09:54:45 PM, your request will be closed.

Hi Ms. Ana,
Thank you for the response.
I was employed by my new employer last January 2020, but neglected to provide them with my BIR 2316 form partly due to the pandemic. They are now requesting it from me now.
Since I resigned from my previous company last September 2019, I believe I only need the one released to me earlier that year — which I believe is 2018?

Hi Ms. Ana,
My current employer confirmed that they just need the 2018 BIR 2316 form. I am hoping that I could receive this as soon as possible (I was given until November 5th).
