Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Dec 16, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for TIN VERIFICATION.

Response to your request

This is in connection with your request for information, with reference number #BIR-066908993548, for the Verification of your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).

 After careful consideration, we resolve to deny your request due to the reason that Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Other Relevant Personal Information is considered a piece of Sensitive Personal Information that is bounded by Republic Act (RA) No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012. You may do any of the following:

 Online Verification:

•	Through the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) TIN Verification and BIR Registered Business Status Search Facility functionality; or

•	Verify your TIN from our BIR Website at https://www.bir.gov.ph through Chatbot Revie where you can do TIN Inquiry, TIN Validation or Find the RDO where you are duly registered by clicking the “RDO Finder”. 

If Unsuccessful due to the volume of taxpayers availing of the facility, you may proceed to the nearest BIR RDO and ask for TIN Verification or Certification. Please bring the following:

   Manual Verification at Revenue District Office (RDO):

•	If the request is made through a representative, a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) of the Requestor together with Any Government Issued Identification Card/s (one primary, or two secondary IDs) containing the photo and signature of both the requestor and the representative shall be presented; and
•	If the requestor is a Corporation, a Board Resolution or Secretary Certificate shall be presented.         
                                                                                                                                                                     
 Note: The SPA or the Board Resolution and/or Secretary Certificate shall specifically 
 state the request for TIN Verification.
