Dear Ms. Bermillo,
I refer to my letter of Dec 20, 2021 02:52:05 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return / Bir 2316.
In order for us to properly endorse and work further on your request, kindly clarify what exactly are you requesting, is it ITR or BIR Form 2316?
If you are requesting for BIR Form 2316, kindly provide us your employer’s TIN, RDO no., business name & address, and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as these contain sensitive information.
If you are requesting for ITR, kindly provide us the following details and email the same:
- What ITR form did you file for 2020
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online)
Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file.
However, we would also like to suggest that if you know where you filed your ITR, you may directly request it to the concerned RDO, bring the duplicate/xerox copy with you for they may also need to validate and determine if you are the rightful owner of the documents requested as these are sensitive information and are bound by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and Sec 270 of the NIRC.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Mar 14, 2022 08:23:43 AM, your request will be closed.
We hope to hear from you at the soonest possible time.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Ana Marie Du
