Hi, I would like to kindly request for a copy of my BIR Form 2316 (Income Tax Return) covering January 01, 2020 to December 31, 2020 period as one of my work application requirements. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Cambel,

I refer to my letter of Aug 28, 2021 06:29:28 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR Form 2316 (Income Tax Return).

Kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is for the CY 2020 as maybe what they were asking from you is for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment because your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year.

Furthermore, please be informed that your BIR Form 2316 should have been issued to you by your previous employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Nov 19, 2021, 04:34:50 AM, your request will be closed.
