Hi,

I just want to ask if there is a possibility to change my RDO to anywhere near my location. I was previously working in Alabang but our RDO is 126 which is in QC. I also need to go to the branch for some inquiries regarding my BIR 2316 form from my previous employer. I tried emailing but to no response same with phone calls no one is answering on the other line til it gets disconnected everytime. Thank you in advance.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Nov 04, 2022 12:45:03 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Request for a Revenue District Office (RDO) Code Transfer/Change.

Response to Request

We called your mobile number today, November 4, to validate your existing FOI request but it was unsuccessful. In relation to this, you asked for the following questions:

Q1. Is there a possibility to change my RDO to anywhere near my location? 

A1. Employees earning purely compensation income (like in your case) who shall subsequently transfer/change its employer, shall have its TIN/registration records be transferred to the RDO having jurisdiction over the place of their RESIDENCE and not to the RDO of his/her Employer.

Q2. I was previously working in Alabang but our RDO is 126 which is in Quezon City?

A2. Upon verification from the BIR system, your TIN/registration records is registered under RDO No. 53B-Muntinlupa City (and your TIN is NOT registered in RDO 126). The transfer of registration of employees shall be executed to the old/previous RDO (which is in RDO 53B) that receives the application immediately or within twenty-four (24) hours from receipt of the BIR Form 1905 (depending on the time the application was received).

In case the employee's location is relatively far from and/or unable to visit the old/previous RDO for the submission of the application of transfer of registration, a faxed/email copy of BIR Form 1905 with signature and valid government issued I.D.s may be accepted by the old/previous RDO to effect such request.
