Good Day! I would like to verify if there is a pending case from DTI or BIR for me [Redacted][Name]. As I registered an online business back in 2020 but my business did not succeed and I would like to apply for BIR as self employed instead. I also want to know if my TIN ID number is valid? ID number is [Redacted][Number]

Dear Ms. Regis:
I refer to my letter of Dec 05, 2022 02:47:15 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, To know if I have a pending case from DTI or BIR.
We been calling your mobile number today, December 6, to verify your existing eFOI request but it was unsuccessful.
In reply, for verification of your TIN/RDO Code, you may call the BIR Hotline at (+632) 8538-3200, or you may utilized the Enhanced BIR Digital Assistant-Chatbot REVIE (www.bir.gov.ph) or visit any BIR office and present your valid IDs.
Upon verification, you are registered as a local employee, you may update your registration as self-employed with the Revenue District Office (RDO) where you are registered using BIR Form 1905 Update of Registration Information. Requirements are listed at the back of the form.
However, if at the same time, you have a business registered with the BIR, we suggest that you coordinate with the RDO where such business is registered for closure of the same.
Addresses and contact numbers of RDOs can be found in the bir website at www.bir.gov.ph homepage/contact us/directory/revenue district offices links.
Regarding the registration of your business with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), we suggest that you coordinate with the particular branch of that office as to your concern on pending case, if any.
You may use the reply function on the eFOI portal at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHQsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEEJJUi0yMTcwOTYxMzc2MDMM, for request with ticket number #BIR-217096137603, to respond.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Feb 28, 2023 05:05:27 AM, your request will be closed.
