Good day! I would like to request the 2022 Annual Income Tax Return of my father Ronie P. Buensalida. The purpose of this request is for the fulfillment of Ateneo de Manila scholarship application.

Dear Ms. Buensalida:

I refer to my letter of Oct 11, 2023 09:18:03 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return and/or BIR Form No. 2316.

In reply, we would like to ask if your father has a registered business for the period of January -December 2022? Or was he an employee/employed during the period of January - December 2022?

As an added note/reference, if your father is an Employee for the period of January-December 2022, his EMPLOYER is required to issue a copy of his BIR Form No. 2316 for aforesaid year  pursuant to Section 2.83.1 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The EMPLOYER shall furnish each employee with the original copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that the taxes were withheld. This will serve as your father's Income Tax Return (ITR).

Kindly advised your father to coordinate with his employer  if he have not receive a copy of his BIR Form No. 2316 for Calendar Year 2022.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 04, 2024 05:02:50 AM, your request will be closed.
