November 22, 2023 Dear Michael Lopez, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 20, 2023 03:52:34 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Ticket #BIR-512878171099. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have [some of]* the information you have requested. With reference to your query concerning the closure of business of your deceased mother, we would like to inform you that as per our records, it has not been closed yet. In order to proceed with the closure, you are required to file BIR Form 1905 (Application for Registration Information Update/Correction/Cancellation) together with the Checklist of Requirements and Verification Slip prior to obtaining a Certificate of No Outstanding Liability. Furthermore, please be reminded that if another individual will be processing the closure on your behalf, you are required to provide them a Special Power of Attorney (SPA). Please see attached BIR Form 1905 and Verification Slip. However, you may wish to contact rdo_43@bir.gov.ph or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal at rdo_43@bir.gov.ph.
