Dear Mdm,

Good day!

I'm currently based in Singapore and am seeking your assistance in getting a copy of my ITR 2316 from FY 2014 until 2016 as this part of my migration requirements.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 03, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for ITR for Migration.

Response to your request

In reply, please be informed that your request for a copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Year 2014 to 2016 cannot be granted/provided by the Revenue District Office (RDO) because the records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/copies of your BIR Form 2316 because all taxpayers are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.

The available Records of Documents in the RDO are from Calendar Year 2020 to 2022.
