GOOD DAY! I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE INCOME TAX RETURN OF MY PARENT: Ismael Lorenzo from the year 2022 to 2023.

Dear Ms. Lorenzo:

I refer to my letter of Jul 17, 2023 07:15:58 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Parents Income Tax Return.

We called your mobile number today, July 18 to validate your existing eFOI Request, however, it was unsuccessful.

We would like to know if your father has a business? or An Employee for the period of January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023?

If he is employed, your father's EMPLOYER is required to issue a copy of his BIR Form 2316 for Calendar Year 2022 to 2023 pursuant to Section 2.83.1 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The EMPLOYER shall furnish each employee with the original copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that the taxes were withheld. This will serve as your Father's Income Tax Return (ITR).

Kindly advised your father to coordinate with his employer in case he was not able to receive a copy of his BIR Form No. 2316 for the Year 2022 to 2023.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Oct 10, 2023 01:28:39 AM, your request will be closed.
