Hi, I would like to request a copy of my Income Tax Return for the year 2020. I need it as a requirement for my job application. Thank you.

Dear Ms. Alcosiba,

I refer to my letter of Oct 25, 2021 01:50:14 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return.

In order for us to work further on your request, kindly provide us the following details and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as this contains sensitive information:
-What ITR form did you file 2020?
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Your TIN (if self-employed)
-If employed, please indicate your employer’s TIN, RDO no., business name & address
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online) 

Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file.

Also, kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is the ITR last year as maybe what they were asking is the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment. Your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. 

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 17, 2022 08:52:26 AM, your request will be closed.
