Historical BIR Collections with Taxpayer Count and Gross Income by Region, PSIC, PSOC

Requested from BIR by A. de Jesus at 09:43 PM on May 07, 2018.
Purpose: Research and Development
Date of Coverage: 01/01/2000 - 05/07/2018
Tracking no: #BIR-313565725984

Hello I would like to request a more comprehensive historical BIR collections report (Should be easily doable with several SQL commands). to include more specific data per region and also include PSIC, and PSOC data (currently collected by BIR). This report will enable Filipinos to make better business and career choices in the future. As well help admin identify opportunities for improvement. Please see attached incomplete template for a single year.

i forgot to mention also include based gross income data. This data will give us a better picture of our country's gross income by industry or occupation.

de Jesus 01:19 PM, May 08, 2018

Example uses...
To understand why the cost of food in restaurants is increasing in an area,
we use the table in the following manner...
1. we select a city, then we identify the business using PSIC (e.g. restaurants)
2. we then examine the gross amount collected for restaurants in the area
3. we observe the number of taxpayers contributing to the gross amount
4. if there are only a few taxpayers contributing to this endeavor then providing support to adding taxpayers here may create competition and help bring down the cost to consumers.

To understand the possible income for a career choice in education in an area.
1. we select a city, then we identify education using PSOC
2. we then examine the gross amount collected and divide by the number of taxpayers to know the average compensation for this profession.
we could also use this data to identify where people of a certain profession (e.g. doctors) are most dense then we can provide support (or supporting PSICs in the area) to make them more effective.

My understanding is all of this data is collected by BIR whenever we file income tax returns. It only needs to be presented in a manner useful to the population else what is the reason for collecting such data (gross income, PSIC , PSOC) in the first place. This can also be used to correlate business tax collected data in LGUs.
