I would like to request a copy of the Income Tax Return and Certificate of Tax Exemption which I will be using as one of the requirements for applying for a scholarship.

Thank you for your request dated Nov 02, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for BIR Certificate of Exemption from Filing of ITR.

Response to your request
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested as your BIR Form for 2021 is yet to be filed next year. 

On the other hand, request for Certificate of Tax Exemption cannot be counted as a valid FOI request as this is part of the frontline service of the BIR, hence, your request is denied.

In this regard, we would like to advise you to visit the BIR website at www.bir.gov.ph and look for the documentary requirements needed for the Processing of Application for Certificate of Exemption for Scholarship and Job/Livelihood Programs, it can be viewed here:
