Dear Mr. FAGELA,
I refer to my letter of Aug 16, 2021 05:48:15 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for CERTIFICATE OF COMPENSATION PAYMENT/TAX WITHELD (BIR FORM No.2316).
In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Kindly provide us your employer's (for CY 2018) TIN, business name & address and also your TIN & email it @ ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph
However, if you have been employed and your income tax has been correctly withheld, has only one employer and has been qualified for substituted filing for the taxable year 2018, the Certificate of Withholding filed by your employer, duly stamped "Received" by the Bureau, shall be tantamount to the filing of the income tax return. You may request Form 2316 from your employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Nov 09, 2021 06:25:21 AM, your request will be closed.
