Hi, Team. 

Good day!

I would like to request for a copy of my ITR that's dated 2017 as it is one of the required documents that my daughter needs in applying for a scholarship program. I was employed by Convergys Philippines(now Concentrix) then. I stayed with the company from March 29, 2010 to May 19, 2019.

Dear Mr. Dubouzet,

I refer to my letter of Nov 24, 2021 05:43:26 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for 2017 Income Tax Return.

In order for us to properly endorse and work on your request, kindly provide us the following details  and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as these contain sensitive information:
- What form did you file? 
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Your TIN (if self-employed)
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online)
Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file. 

If the documents have been filed to our office, may we suggest that you request these directly to the concerned RDO and bring two valid IDs for they may also need to validate and determine if you are the rightful owner of the documents requested as these are sensitive information and are bound by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and Sec 270 of the NIRC.  

On the other hand, since you are an employee. your employer is responsible to file your BIR Form 2316 and to provide you with BIR Form 2316 ( Certificate of Compensation and Tax Withheld ) not later than January 31 after the close of the calendar year. This certificate of tax withheld BIR Form 2316 which have been filed by your employer and duly stamped received by the BIR is tantamount to the substituted filing of Annual Income Return. Hence, if you have been qualified for substituted filing, your BIR Form 2316 filed can be used for your child's requirement for college and scholarship application. 

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Feb 17, 2022 03:55:08 AM, your request will be closed.
