Good day,

I am making my research paper about the apartment for rent and I would like to request for an information regarding the following:

1. How many lessors/landlords (who owns a residential units for rent like houses, dorms, condo, etc) are registered to BIR and paying taxes in NCR from 2017 - 2021 (3-5years data is needed)?

Hoped that they can be classified as:
a. Per tax category
b. Per city/municipality
c. Per year

I only need the number of lessors po per category described above. Hoping for your positive feedback on this.

You asked for Number of Lessors in NCR who are Taxpayers from.

Response to your request

Please be informed, that your request cannot be given due course/did not qualify in the Revised People's Freedom of Information Manual for the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Chapter VI-Standard Procedure for FOI Requests, Sections 21.2 and 21.3 (d), quoted as follows:

Section 21.2 The purpose of the request for information shall be specific or adequately and sufficiently described. General averments of the purpose such as "for information", "for research", "for legal purpose", or other similarly worded purposes shall not be considered to have met the requirement of specificity. Failure to specify the reason for or purpose of the request for information shall be a ground for denial of the eFOI request.

Section 21.3 (d) - If the requesting party is a natural person who is a member employee, affiliated with or related to a juridical entity, company or organization, and the request is made not in behalf of such juridical entity, company or organization but arises from such membership, affiliation or relation, such other sufficient proof of authority or affiliation:

For example, for an employee or member, a copy of the company or organization I.D., or for students, a copy of the valid school I.D. and written indorsement of the supervising teacher/professor/instructor.

In view hereof, we regret to inform you that your request has been denied due to the aforecited reasons. Further, your requested information is vague in scope and registration is being done at the Revenue District Office (RDO) having jurisdiction of the place where the business is/are registered.
