May I request a copy of my BIR 2136 or Income tax return for the years 2020 because my current employer is requesting a copy and I am not sure whether or not I was given one by my previous employer.

Your BIR Form 2316 should have been issued to you by your employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jan 21, 2022 06:06:45 AM, your request will be closed.
