May 25, 2022 Dear Mr. Rafael Advincula: Greetings! Thank you for your request dated May 25, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You request for a copy of your recent BIR Form 2316 (Certificate of Compensation/Tax Withheld). While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. However, we have advised you during our telephone conversation this May 25, 2022, that you may directly request for another copy of your BIR Form 2316 from your employer as they are the main source of this document (Since you have lost your copy). And it is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
