I was in japan last week and I wanted to buy an airsoft pistol from a local shop there. But I didnt know if I could bring it back home for personal use.

What are the rules regarding bringing back airsoft as souvenir from a vacation?

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.

Pursuant to PNP Rules and Regulations, any person engaged or intending to engage in the import and/or export of airsoft rifles/pistols shall first secure the corresponding Import or Export Permit (Authority to Import/Export) from the PNP-Firearms and Explosives Office (PNP-FEO) prior to the actual import or export of said items.

NOTE: The PNP-FEO does not issue an Import or Export Permit (Authority to Import/Export) to individuals who import/export airsoft gun/s for personal use. Meaning, only licensed manufacturers/dealers are allowed to import/export such commodity.
