Hello!
I am currently taking my thesis for my course, Bachelor of Science of Chemistry major in Food Science.
I would like to authenticate a plant for the purposes of my thesis level research.
1) I would just like to know what documents I need to process for it to be authenticated.
2 ) I would like to know the process for the authentication/contacts.
I am stationed in De La Salle University, Taft, and I heard there is a BPI nearby, I just need to know what to do.

The Bureau of Plant Industry-Crop Research and Production Support Division can process Online Plant Authentication but only for Agricultural Food Crops. Kindly refer on the following requirements.
CHECKLIST OF REQUIREMENTS FOR PLANT ID
1. Request letter addressed to:
GERALD GLENN F. PANGANIBAN, Ph.D.
Director
Bureau of Plant Industry
(For students- In school's letter head, signed by the students and adviser)
2. Actual photo of the plants (Complete parts if possible)
3. Duly filled-up Plant Identification form (Kindly find attached form)
Kindly send the fully accomplished requirements to this email recordssection@buplant.da.gov.ph for processing of your request.
If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
