Hi, I would like to request for information regarding the history of the Philippines national debt, budget and expenditures during 1965 to 1985, the late Ferdinand Marcos time. This document will hopefully shed a light on the 
real economic status of the said period.
I strongly believe that this age, is the defining moment of the Philippines and us the Filipinos we must not remain  ignorant so as not to be fooled once again by politicians who put their own and political interest above else.

Response to your request

Please be advised that in 1986, the E.O. 127 was imposed. Under this order, the Bureau's mandates were reorganized and only in this time the recording of public borrowings were included on its tasks.  You may refer to the Bureau of the Treasury's website to view the historical reports at www.treasury.gov.ph.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Ms. Elizabeth P. Awayan at statistics@treasury.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
