Good day to the CFO team.

This is Neil from The Filipino Times in the UAE.

We're hoping to get some details regarding the current number of nurses working here in the UAE.

What are the year on year numbers of Filipino nurses recruited in UAE?

Based on previous records, what will be your projected number of Filipino nurses needed in the UAE this year?

Looking forward for your response, thank you very much.

Dear Mr. Bie:

Greetings from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas!

Thank you for your eFOI request regarding the number of Filipino nurses working in the United Arab Emirates.

The CFO’s primary clientele are the emigrants who will permanently live in other countries. On the other hand, OFWs or temporary migrants, are required to register with and obtain their Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

We regret that we are unable to provide the information requested since migrant workers or OFWs are not required to register with the CFO before their departure from the Philippines.

The link below that contains information about OFWs and other professions by skill and by country might help you:

For questions or clarifications, you may contact Mr. Elfred del Rosario of the Policy, Planning and Research Division at 552-4763 or through email at dr.elfred@gmail.com.

Thank you and best regards.

Respectfully,

Elfred del Rosario
