This refers to your request dated 09 October 2019 requesting for the profile of OFWs in Singapore including their occupations and length of stay, the voter turnout of the absentee-voters in Singapore and the list of Filipinos Associations in Singapore.
We regret, however, that we are unable to provide the information requested since migrant workers or OFWs are not required to register with the CFO before their departure from the Philippines.
The CFO’s primary clientele are the emigrants who will permanently live in other countries. On the other hand, OFWs or temporary migrants, are required to register with and obtain their Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). To provide you with the right information on the voter turnout of OFWs and voting centers in Singapore, may we kindly refer you to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), as they may be in a better position to assist you regarding the information you need. You can email your request to them at statistics@comelec.gov.ph / overseasvoting@comelec.gov.ph.
