Greetings from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO)!

This refers to your request dated 19 October 2019 regarding the total number of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) per country and their job categories.

We regret, however, that we are unable to provide the information requested since migrant workers or OFWs are not required to register with the CFO before their departure from the Philippines.

The CFO’s primary clientele are the emigrants who will permanently live in other countries.  On the other hand, OFWs or temporary migrants, are required to register with and obtain their Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
