Your Request

You asked for Transferring of Cebu International Port from North Reclamation, Cebu City to Tayud, Consolacion.

Response to Request

We apologize for the delay of our response. This was due to the deactivation of our FOI account for some technical reasons which was only reactivated recently. Please understand that we are new to this FOI system.

At any rate, as regards the construction of the New Cebu International Port, the project was already approved by the NEDA. There has been no bidding yet for the project as the process now is still at the stage of sourcing of funds.

Considering that this is a big project, which requires a very substantial amount of funding, source of funds may be through ODA or any other foreign loan or assistance.

As of now, the CPA is awaiting and shall abide by whatever direction the national government makes relative to the project.

If you have any further queries, you may contact me at cellphone no. 09177957109.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to SECRETARY JOSE RUPERTO MARTIN M. ANDANAR, Presidential Communications Operations Office at New Executive Building, Malacañang, Manila 1005, Tel. 734-58-83; 735-35-38 Fax: 734-5883.

Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Atty. Yusop Uckung
FOI Receiving Officer
