Good morning Sir/Madam:
I would like to inquire whether there is a favorable update on the land distribution applied for by the Small Settlers Landless Association., Inc. located at Davao del Norte. The association's President is Elsa Gutierrez.
Is there a possibility that the area applied for by the landless members of the association would be distributed within the year?
Timely response is highly appreciated.

Sir/Madam,
This may not be the priority in the midst of Covid19. But just being hopeful, after the crisis, the land to be distributed is workable for integrated agribusiness in support of the food security proggrams of the government. With the rest of the applicants, we can develop the diatributed land into productive agro fisheries industries.
Thank you for heeding us the landless.

Good day sir/maam,
As regards your query on the status of the possibility of having a land acquisition and distribution process in the areas you mentioned in your letter, please be informed of the following:
a) These areas are targeted for acquisition and distribution under Executive Order No. 75 of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte re: for Government agencies to identify lands owned by the government devoted to or suitable for agriculture for distribution to qualified beneficiaries;
b) DAR Davao del Norte created a task force in compliance to such directive along with the implementing guidelines issued by both DAR and the Department of Justice (Joint DAR-DOJ AO 7, 2019);
c) Preparations were underway to undertake the different courses of action such as but not limited to gathering of data, information dissemination campaign to potential beneficiary applicants, and inter-agency meetings;
d) a timeline regarding the conduct of information dissemination was already prepared but that unfortunately, the country was placed under the state of national health emergency in March 2020, and greatly affected our schedules considering that the office was no longer allowed to conduct any mass gatherings;
e) While waiting for the "new normal practices in the workplace" to be put in place and clearance from the national government to allow conduct of gatherings with a limited number of people per session due to strict physical distancing, DAR Davao del Norte will reconvene the task force to make the necessary preparations in formulating an amended timeline of schedules for the information campaign. As soon as this will be allowed by the national government, all potential beneficiary applicants will be notified.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Very respectfully yours,
