Your Request

You asked for Status of 2024 Health Emergency Allowance for healthcare workers.

Response to Request

Pursuant to Special Provision No. 14 of the FY 2024 DOH budget under Republic Act (RA) No. 11975, the amount of P19.962 billion shall be used for the payment of arrears reckoning FY 2020 for the grant of COVID-19 sickness and compensation, and reckoning July 1, 2021 for the grant of Health Emergency Allowance based on the rationalized identification of eligible health facilities involved in COVID-19 response pursuant to R.A. No. 11712. Said funds were already part of the Comprehensively Released Items to DOH per Annex A of National Budget Circular No. 592 dated January 2, 2024.
