Magandang Hapon po sa inyo. Ako po ay si Eva Baya Monopolio na nasa Ozamiz City  na kasalukuyang nagtatrabaho po bilang Respiratory Therapist sa Mayor Hilarion A. Ramiro, Sr. Medical Center po. Nais ko po sanang hilingin na kung pwede po ang sahod ng Respiratory Therapist I po ay pwede gawin ng SG 11 o higit pa dahil po ang mga bilihin ngayon ay tumataas na at yung sinasahod namin ay budget lamang po sa pagkain. Wala pa po kaming tahanan. Nais na po sana kaming magkaroon ng sariling bahay dahil kami ay nangungupahan lamang. Sana naman po ay pakinggan niyo ang aming kahilingan. Salamat po

Dear Eva Monopolio,

Greetings!

This refers to your request to  adjust the Salary Grade (SG) allocation of Respiratory Therapists from Salary Grade (SG)-10 to SG-11 in view of the increasing prices of commodities.

Please be informed that in determining the SG allocation of any  position in government, we consider the following factors:  (i) skills and knowledge required for the satisfactory performance of the duties and responsibilities of a position; (ii) nature of work, and (iii) responsibility or accountability of a position for supervision exercised, decisions and actions, degree of control of assets, and accuracy of records and reports. 

Nonetheless, we wish to inform you that the DBM, together with the Governance Commission for GOCCs, is  undertaking a review of the compensation of government personnel.  The results of the study will be used to determine the propriety of compensation adjustments in the ensuing years.
